Frequently Asked Questions
1.  What day and time is check-in/out?
Barclay Towers is a Saturday to Saturday resort. Check-in is on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. the following Saturday. You must present a photo ID along with your RCI Confirmation, Barclay Towers Owners Card or Guest Certificate.
2.  How many parking spaces are available for each unit?
There is one parking space for each unit at Barclay Towers. Should you bring a second car or have guests staying with you, you must purchase parking through the City Garage directly across the street from Barclay Towers.

If you will need the additional space for the week, we suggest that you purchase a parking pass from the city garage called a "key card." This parking card will enable you to come and go as many times as you wish without additional payment.
3.  Are there any fees due to the resort?
There is a $100.00 refundable deposit due upon check-in by credit card or cash.   You will lose your $100.00 deposit if you fail to vacate the unit by 10:00 a.m. on check-out day.   If your unit requires excessive cleaning at check-out, you will incur a $75.00 cleaning charge.   If you are issued a garage key, there is a $10 fee for keys that are not turned in at chck-out or that are lost.
4.  May I bring a pet?
Sorry, no pets are permitted in Barclay Towers. A $200 fine will be assessed for anyone having a pet in the unit. You will then be asked to immediately vacate your unit or board your pet. The nearest kennel is the Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital and Pet Hotel at 428-4344.
5.  How close is the resort to the ocean and beach?
The resort is located directly on the oceanfront. You exit the resort onto the boardwalk.
6.  May I request a unit on the ocean side?
All of our units face the oceanfront. The first floor has a patio and all other units have balconies.
7.  May I request a handicapped accessible unit?
Yes. Barclay Towers has 5 first-floor units that are handicapped accessible. These units are assigned on a first- come, first serve basis, so please contact our timeshare office as soon as possible for assignment to an accessible unit. Barclay Towers also has hand-held showers and shower seats upon reqest.

The front handicapped parking is first come first serve, there is no longer any timeshare parking across in the garage on the ground floor. There are handicapped parking spots near the elevator on each floor of the garage instead. 
8.  What is the size of my unit?
All of our units are one-bedroom units with a king size bed in the bedroom and queen pull out sofa bed in the living room area. There is a mini-kitchen and one bathroom. There are two TV's and a VCR in each unit. The bathrooms are equipped with a hair dryer. Iron and ironing board are located in the bedroom closet as well as a safe for your use at no charge. Housekeeping is only upon request now. Towels and trash can be requested at the desk 24 hours a day.
9.  Is smoking permitted at Barclay Towers?
No. Barclay Towers is a 100% smoke-free resort. There is no smoking anywhere in the timeshare units, on the unit balconies, or within the Barclay Towers building itself. Violation of this policy may result in the assessment of a $250 fine for the cleaning of draperies, bedspreads, and carpeting to eliminate the smell of smoke.
10.  What happens if I will be a late arrival?
You may check-in any time after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Our front desk is open 24 hours a day.
11.  May I check-in early?
We adhere to our 4:00 p.m. check-in time which gives our housekeeping staff adequate time to clean the units for new arrivals.
12.  Can you tell me what my unit number will be?
All unit assignments are made at check in. There are 8 floors at Barclay Towers. Should you have special needs or requests regarding unit assignment, please contact the timeshare office PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL at Barclay Towers. Should you wish to leave instructions with someone on contacting you, please advise them to call our front desk at Ext. -0- to be transfered to your unit.
13.  Do you have rollaway beds, highchairs or cribs?
We do have rollaway beds available on a first come first serve basis for $10 per night. We do have cribs at no charge on a first come first serve basis. We do not have highchairs.
14.  May I send a guest to occupy my unit?
Barclay Towers owners may complete a guest certificate so that their guest may occupy their unit of ownership. There is no charge for this service.

RCI exchange guests must contact RCI to purchase a guest certificate if they are sending someone in their place. Guests may not check-in with the confirmation in the original RCI exchange person's name.

ALL GUESTS ON RCI CONFIRMATIONS OR BARCLAY TOWERS GUEST CERTIFICATES MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE AND PRESENT A PHOTO ID AND CREDIT CARD AT CHECK-IN.
17.  Can I purchase a Barclay Towers time share? Is there a Developer or sales staff on premises.
Yes, you may purchase a Barclay Towers time share from the resale list, which is located within this website.

There is no longer a Developer located here at Barclay Towers as we are a sold out resort. There are no sales personnel for Barclay Towers time share.
18.  What housekeeping services are available?
Your unit will be cleaned twice weekly, Tuesday and Thursday, at NO CHARGE. Service includes linen change, bathroom cleaning, dusting and vacuuming; the kitchen area is not included. Towels will be exchanged on a daily basis and trash emptied on a daily basis. You may purchase full daily housekeeping services for $49.00 per week.

Please note the hours for our housekeeping staff varies according to season. Should you need service at a specific time, please call housekeeping at 326 or dial 0 for the front desk to make these arrangements.

Remember that neither the housekeeping staff nor maintenance staff will enter your room when the "Do Not Disturb" sign is posted. If this sign is posted, please call the Front Desk when removed for service. If the housekeepers have left for the day, only towel exchange and trash removal will be performed.

20.  Does my unit at Barclay Towers have Internet access?
Yes. Hi-speed, wireless Internet service is provided to all units at no charge.
21.  Will my family or friends be able to leave messages in my unit?
Yes. Each unit has voice mail. Callers would dial the resort number 757-491-2700, and then touch 7, and the assigned unit number. There is no charge for 800 numbers or the use of your phone credit card for long distance calls.
